Dimensions follows the story of Rukel, a young Kendrith (a lizard like race). After an unusual set of circumstances she is forced into a dangerous situation that spans across epic landscapes. Along the way she meets with people who will either hinder or help her as she tries to solve the puzzle she finds herself tangled up in.
Dimensions started out in 2006 as a simple story idea the Rachel Westfall had. That idea grew and changed as she refined the storyline and artwork. Originally the comic was going to be in black and white but after some experimentation and encouragement from friends she decided to go to full color. Which is what is displayed online. The hand colored artwork itself is hand drawn with pen and ink then colored in watercolors, colored pencil and markers.
She also decided to take the majority of the comic digital. It's first sketched out in pencil and gotten to where she likes it, and then scanned into her computer, inked and colored with a wacom tablet and Painter.
